The gospel has been handed down to all Christian peoples from the early church to today, and it is our honor to continue its stewardship, translation, and interpretation for a new generation.
At Portland Seminary, you will explore Christianity from its early days through the medieval era to the modern age. You'll learn about the themes and systems of theology that developed, including key Christian doctrines.
You will study the influential church mothers and fathers, focusing on their spiritual and doctrinal teachings and how they interacted with the culture of their time. Additionally, you will discover how Christian ethics were formed and understand their importance in society.
The Christian History and Theology Specialization is available with the Master of Arts in Theological Studies program.
