Counseling Services
On-campus and virtual counseling services are available to all Newberg-based students (traditional undergraduate students and graduate students in the PT, PA, OT and PsyD [virtual option only] programs) and both are free.
On-Campus Counseling Services
The Health and Counseling Center (HCC) welcomes all students to make an initial contact to discuss their concerns. Because of the unique skills and knowledge of the HCC staff, we are able to recommend services within the HCC or other options to assist students in obtaining the appropriate services to meet their needs. We encourage all students to take advantage of this valuable service.
When appropriate, students may be referred to services offered within the HCC. The HCC utilizes a short-term model of therapy and psychoeducational groups to assist students in addressing multiple issues common in a college setting.

Yes, TimelyCare supplements our existing services available through the Health and Counseling Center.
In addition, if you’re concerned about your mental health or are experiencing an urgent mental health need after hours, you can call the national Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (988) or the Yamhill County Crisis Line (503-244-9130). If you’re in immediate danger, contact Campus Public Safety at 503-554-2090 or dial 911.
We recommend that you not use both the TimelyCare counseling and Â鶹´«Ã½ Fox Health and Counseling Center counseling simultaneously. It's best to work with one counselor. If you are finding that a particular service isn’t meeting your needs, it’s fine to change to TimelyCare and/or Health and Counseling Center counseling for support.
As a TimelyCare patient, your visit records will be saved as part of your medical records and will be shared with licensed medical providers and counselors at the Â鶹´«Ã½ Fox Health and Counseling Center. If you want to share your records with a physician outside of TimelyCare, you can print or email your records, or call 833-4-TIMELY to have a copy of your records sent to your provider.
3-7 minutes on average
Students will receive email reminders as they approach their visit limit. TimelyCare’s support team will work with students to allow time to finalize a plan. Students can always utilize in-person care at the university or resources in the community. Students who cancel or no-show within the 24-hour cancellation period will not have that appointment counted against their visit limit.
Oregon Mental Health and Crisis Resources

Off-Campus Students
If a student feels like harming themselves or others, call the appropriate crisis number for their county (Â鶹´«Ã½ Fox is in Yamhill County):
