Grants & Scholarships

For Graduate Programs

Loans are a primary source of financial aid for graduate study. A limited number of scholarships are available in some select programs (see list of seminary scholarships). Check with your financial aid counselor for more information.

The total financial aid package including all grants, scholarships, and loans may not exceed the amount of need when federal program funds are included.

TEACH Grant (Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education)

This grant program provides up to $4,000 per year to eligible students. To be eligible, students each year must:

  • Complete the Agreement to Serve
  • Complete TEACH entrance counseling
  • Be enrolled in an approved teaching-related degree
    • Master of Teaching
    • Master of Education* in the English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Reading Interventionist (READ), or Special Education (SPED) specializations.
    • Elementary Education
    • Mathematics
    • Science
    • Other * identified by federal, state or local government
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25

*Only students in programs noted by an asterisk must complete a form to certify their intended post-education teaching plan.plan.

The TEACH Grant does not have to be repaid unless the student fails to carry out service obligations:

  • Teach full time in a high-need field
  • Serve four years at an elementary school, secondary school, or educational service agency
  • Serve students from low-income families
  • Complete the four eligible years of service within eight years of graduation
  • Complete annual certification

If a student fails to complete the requirements, they must repay the TEACH Grant as a Direct Unsubsidized Loan with interest accrued from the date the grant was disbursed.

WICHE Grants (Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education)

Through WICHE’s (PSEP), students pursuing careers in 10 health fields – ranging from optometry to dentistry to veterinary medicine – may enroll in participating programs across state lines and receive substantial tuition support from their home state or territory.

Finding Outside Scholarships

External scholarships must be counted as part of your total financial aid award and must be reported to your financial aid counselor in MyÂ鶹´«Ã½Fox.

There are many scholarship opportunities for students from sources outside Â鶹´«Ã½ Fox University. At the graduate level, students who are members of the may be eligible for scholarships provided by the association. Likewise, members of the can apply for financial assistance through its PA Foundation.
