Plant Services oversees the operation of all facilities, utilities, grounds and vehicles. We manage and supervise the work order system, key disbursements, fleet management, and the university’s safety program.
Our goal is to enhance the working and learning environment of the Â鶹´«Ã½ Fox community in a spirit of Christian service and stewardship by providing appropriate and well-maintained facilities.
Location & Hours
Our office is located in the Thomas Center at 1101 N. Villa Road. We’re open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays during the academic year, and from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the summer.

Administrative Staff
The administrative staff oversees the maintenance of the Portland Center and Newberg campus facilities, including special projects for university planning and new construction.
Custodial Services
Custodial services cleans all public buildings and residence halls, including windows, window coverings, carpet and hard floors. We also gather campus recycling, and we clean campus vans. Visit our document to find out when we clean specific academic areas.
Questions and urgent service requests are fielded through the plant services office. Non-urgent service requests are handled through the online work request system. If you have an urgent request, please call the plant services office at 503-554-2010.
Facilities Maintenance
Our facilities maintenance group oversees the livability of student housing and the functionality of classrooms and office space. Each of our buildings requires the upkeep of complex systems, which include electricity, plumbing, heating/cooling, communications, and fire protection.
Each of these systems requires the attention of a professional Oregon-state-licensed technician for its operation. Our department consists of these dedicated technicians. We also coordinate many campus improvement projects, both during the school year and summer months.
Grounds
The grounds department maintains campus grounds, including athletics fields, landscaping and natural areas. We perform vehicle and equipment maintenance, garbage collection and recycling, and oversee the installation of landscaping and utilities. Visit our to learn more about our work flow.
Safety
The safety department is responsible for ensuring occupational safety and health across the entire campus. We offer safety training and administrative guidance to all departments and employees to promote an injury-free work environment and comply with occupational safety and health regulations.
