Family Weekend 2024

Registration is now open! You and your family are invited to be a part of Family Weekend! 

Join us on campus Oct. 18-20 for a weekend filled with some exciting events, including Family Game Night, music performances, athletic events, and visits to local activities. Choose your own adventure and enjoy the time reconnecting with your student and letting them show you around town! It will be a fun-filled weekend your whole family can share. 

 

We wanted to remind you that this is the last week to purchase tickets for Family Weekend at the current rate! After this week, prices will increase to $35 per family, and packets will only be available as walk-ups at the event.

This is a great opportunity for high school-aged siblings of our current students to join you for the weekend and explore how to make Â鶹´«Ã½ Fox their own! Prospective students can meet professors, coaches and current students; attend classes that look interesting to them; and learn about our majors.

Enjoy the work of our music students as they present a fall showcase. This program features vocal and jazz ensembles combined in a production of varied music literature.

Dinner- Family Favorites

Enjoy a meal in our beautiful Canyon Commons dining hall overlooking the canyon. We will be feasting on family favorites! to Bon Appetit, which may be featured on the menu for this evening. Credit cards are accepted at the dining hall kiosk.

Theatre Presentation: The Hiding Place

Based on the book by Corrie Ten Boom, The Hiding Place is one of the world's bestselling memoirs of the Second World War. When the Nazi occupation overruns Holland, it leaves Corrie and her family with a difficult choice: turn a blind eye to oppression or defy authority and save lives. From a clockmaker's shop in the Dutch town of Haarlem to a Ravensbruck concentration camp, The Hiding Place is a journey of love, hope, faith and the power of forgiveness.

Drop in and challenge families to a pick-up game of the trending sport of pickleball. We will have a student facilitator there to instruct you on how to play and keep games rolling! Beginners to experts, all levels are welcome to try their hand!

Parent Prayer

Take a moment to gather together for a time of parent prayer over our campus in the new chapel. The campus pastoral staff will lead this time of guided prayer for students, our community and beyond.

Enjoy a meal in our beautiful Canyon Commons dining hall overlooking the canyon. The theme for this meal is "Game Day Fare." Our chefs are planning a Bruin-centric menu! Enjoy Bruin athletics on the big screens while hanging out with students and families.

Tailgate Party and Den Drop-In

Come get your game face on! Purchase a meal or snacks at the Maker's Market in Klages. Find your regional sign in the Klages Academic Building to meet other families from your area and then play some competitive cornhole and games on the lawn.

Stop by our tables to drop off a food donation for the Bruin Community Pantry and don’t miss a chance to meet Pennington Bear, and see a special pregame performance from our cheer and stunt team and the drumline!

Enjoy a meal in our beautiful Canyon Commons dining hall overlooking the canyon. This evening the chef team is planning Pacific Northwest fare that celebrates our region from Hood to Coast. Enjoy entertainment on the big screens while hanging out with students and families.

Petals and Perks

Do you have a passion or joy in doing crafty things? One of our amazing local flower farms will guide participants through building your own pumpkin flower arrangements. Have family members who aren’t interested? They can grab a cup of coffee from the shop and catch the football game!

S'mores in the Pavillion

Come connect with other families! We will be hanging out in the pavilion with a warm fire burning. Stop by after the football game or your daytime adventures to roast a s'more with the fam. Dress warm. The Pacific Northwest evenings are chilly!
