Delve into the dynamic world of nursing. Earn a Stop the Bleed certificate, explore nursing career paths, and gain hands-on experience in Â鶹´«Ã½ Fox’s nursing program. Elevate your learning with patient care simulations and challenge yourself in our unique nursing-themed escape room – an unforgettable week of discovery awaits!
In this immersive week-long experience, you will:
- Learn normal vital sign ranges
- Calculate intake and output
- Explore nursing career paths
- Complete the Stop the Bleed course
- Experience elements of the undergraduate nursing program: VR anatomy, nursing process, health promotion, etc.
- Apply basic nursing concepts through simulations and escape room
- Develop understanding of nursing prerequisites and college application process
By completing this experience, you’ll be eligible for one college credit in nursing.
Cost
The cost for the Nursing Institute is $1,800 per student ($1,600 for students from partner schools). This includes a week of immersive college-level courses taught by Â鶹´«Ã½ Fox faculty, convenient on-campus lodging, three meals per day in the dining hall, and evening programming.

Assistant Professor, Â鶹´«Ã½ Fox College of Nursing
Kari Sandau joined the School of Nursing in 2020 as an assistant professor of nursing. Prior to teaching, she worked as a staff nurse for Salem Health in Salem, Oregon for six years and spent four years as an intensive care staff nurse at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Indiana.
