YMCA Chaplaincy Certificate Program

YMCA Chaplaincy Training

Â鶹´«Ã½ Fox University and the YMCA have partnered to offer a three-part chaplaincy training for YMCA staff and volunteers. Students pursuing this training program should follow this certificate sequence:

  1. Level 1: Certificate in Mission Advancement (9 credits)

    Be a mission-driven leader. Learn to guide your team and organization forward, without losing sight of the mission.

  2. Level 2: Certificate in Conflict Resolution (9 credits)

    Learn to communicate with people from all sorts of backgrounds and bring understanding to complex and nuanced situations.

  3. Level 3: Certificate in Basic Chaplaincy (18 credits)

    Gain a broad understanding of chaplaincy and discover strategies to support people in moments of great need.

To get started, complete your and select Mission Advancement as your program. After completing the Certificate in Mission Advancement, you will proceed to the next level in the training program.

What to Expect

Each course is eight weeks long, and you’ll take just one at a time until you finish what’s required for your certificate. Our asynchronous courses follow a weekly rhythm for engaging with content and assignments, with an average workload of about 10 to 12 hours a week.

How to Apply

  1. Apply Online

    Create an account with a username and password and complete the certificates application online for admission into any of the six certificate programs

  2. Connect with an Admissions Counselor

    An admissions counselor will reach out about any next steps to get started in the certificate program.

  3. Enroll in Courses

    You’ll enroll in the first course of your certificate program!
